2024 CHARITY PARTNER EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST - NOW CLOSED
This year will mark the 14th year of the Equal Futures Project’s International Women’s Day (IWD) breakfast. Over that time the group has raised over $250,000, which has been donated to various local charities who have partnered with us. Funds to be donated are not known until after fundraising events occur, however in the past few years the Equal Futures Project has contributed $5,000 to $14,000 in this process to Charity Partners in any one year.
“All funds we will receive through The Equal Futures Project will be used to spread our holistic learn to swim program to other parts of the Hunter #cessnock #maitland #muswellbrook where we have received strong interest and have a healthy waiting list of participants…..Your financial support will help us off our learn to swim program to more and more people in the hunter…Thank you for all you do in our region to ensure we have equal futures” Ennia Jones, Founder Splash of Colour Swimming.
“We were honoured to be chosen as a charity partner for this event alongside Carrie's Place and a Splash of Colour Swimming. Together we #EmbraceEquity and value diversity and inclusion.” Kimberly Lewis, General Manager, Prelude.
“Carrie’s Place would like to acknowledge the support and fundraising efforts of…Equal Futures Project….We appreciate your kindness and generosity” Carrie’s Place.
The Equal Futures Project’s 2024 IWD breakfast will be on Friday, 8 March, this is our major fundraising event. This is a corporate focused event to raise awareness of equity and diversity in our communities and our workplaces. We also use funds raised (net profit from ticket sales) at the event to support local organisations that are committed to diversity and achieving a more equitable and inclusive society.
If successful, your organisation will receive money raised through our IWD breakfast.
A separate event, following the breakfast, will be organised to present the donation to the successful organisation. Social and other media coverage around this event will also provide an opportunity to promote the work of the organisation.
The chosen charity will require a fundraising certificate, enabling Equal Futures Project to fundraise on your behalf.
We invite registered charities to submit an application to be considered as an Equal Futures Project partner for 2024.
Please send the proposal (PDF preferred) to equalfuturesproject@outlook.com, or fill out the form below.
Please submit a proposal addressing the criteria below (750 word maximum, photos/images welcome, maximum 5 pages).
An independent committee will assess all applications based on the above criteria.
Note: While all charities are welcome to apply, we will give preference to organisations that we haven’t supported in the last 5 years.
The selected charity partner will be advised via email by 12 December 2023 and announced on the Equal Futures Project website, Facebook and LinkedIn pages.
Any questions should be directed to equalfuturesproject@outlook.com with the subject line - Charity Partner Application.
Further information to note
The Equal Futures Project will only pay a donation if there are sufficient funds raised to do so. Charity Partners are not guaranteed a donation, nor any specific amount, the amounts paid prior provide an indication of past payments not guidance to future payments. Timing of notifications regarding donations will be determined by the Equal Futures Project (and is pending finalisation of our accounts post an event). Any decisions made by the Equal Futures Project (or delegated sub-committee) is final.
